Cultureweek’s goal is to seek out the culture of Bloomington wherever we can find it, and bring it to the masses in the form of a monthly magazine. This magazine is run by a band of friendly, enthusiastic, hard-working volunteers who write, edit, design, and create this publication each month.
If you’d like to be a part of Cultureweek, we are always in need of contributors. We have opportunities for people interested in writing, editing, design, layout, photography, and more! If you have abilities and talent that you’d like to bring to CW, we want to have you on board.
Our current open positions: (Interested? Email editor(at)cultureweek(.)com.)
Copy Editor/Editorial Assistant: Do you love to read creative writing? We need someone with an eagle’s eye for grammatical mistakes and a vengeance for spelling errors! The copy editor/editorial assistant will not only polish our pieces before the go into CW, but also work with the layout editor to get all the copy, photos, artwork, and ads to fit beautifully on every page of every issue.
Writers: Do you have a knack for creative writing? Are you knowledgeable about local events in theatre and fine arts, or would you like to learn more about them? Would you like the chance to meet and interview artists about their work, and write about your experiences? Cultureweek is especially in need of writers for theatre and fine arts, though we will welcome writing samples from those interested in any section.
